Volunteer Benefits
INSURANCE
As an enrolled RSVP member, you are covered by supplementary accident and liability insurance, at no cost to you. Although this is not a substitute for your own insurance coverage, it covers you in case of personal injury to yourself or others while you are working at your assignment, as well as while you are on your way to and from your volunteer site.
RECOGNITION
Once a year RSVP sponsors a Volunteer Recognition Event for all active RSVP volunteers. This is a time for volunteers, RSVP staff, advisory council members and community representatives to celebrate the dedicated service of RSVP volunteers and their contributions to Marion County residents.

Volunteers are also invited to a December Holiday Drop-In event.

NEWSLETTER
RSVP staff produces a quarterly newsletter that is mailed to all active volunteers.
BIRTHDAY CARDS are sent to RSVP volunteers to wish them another year of good health and happiness.
TRAININGS
Invitations are extended throughout the year to rainings, events and learning opportunities.
LIFELONG LEARNING
RSVP has collaborated with the Senior Institute of Central Florida Community College in offering free admission to classes from the lifelong learning catalog. RSVP volunteers will receive one fee waiver per semester for an opportunity to take college level classes (on a space available basis) without the worry of tests or grades.
